Clergy desiring to become chaplains with the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy must complete an application. The application will be reviewed by the selection committee and a SLED background check and references will be performed. A letter will be sent to the applicant notifying him/her of the committee’s decision. If the decision is positive the clergyperson will become a ‘Chaplain-in-Training’. Upon successful completion of additional criteria, the “In Training” status will be removed from your classification. You will then be issued a photograph ID and the needed equipment.
